About Us

Sparrows Christian Housing Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a supportive, community-focused home for adults with diverse abilities, built on a foundation of Christian values. We believe in creating a true "home," not just a house.

Our Vision & Mission

Our vision is to create a "semi-independent intentional community" built on a foundation of love, loyalty, and faith. We strive to foster a supportive family environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and part of a caring family, living with joy and laughter.

Our History

In 2000, a passionate group of parents and community members came together with this shared vision. After years of planning and fundraising, we proudly opened our first home in 2011, providing a loving environment for six residents.

Supported Independent Living

Sparrows provides a unique support model designed to balance independence with community care. Our goal is to empower residents while ensuring they have the support they need to flourish.

Our Vision for the Future

Based on the success of our current home, we are ready to take the next step. This vision began in 2018, when we purchased the neighbouring lot for future expansion. After years of careful discussion and planning, we are now ready to build a new 3,260 sq. ft. building designed to welcome more people into the Sparrows family.
